Aermacchi 1970 M-65 Leggero

On the other side of the ocean, the Zeffiretto Sport 48S was named the M50S. The taillight became american: bigger en the two toolboxes dissapeared. This model lived to see only one year: 1966. It was replaced by a 65cc model (M65S), like the M-50. The appearance was the same, just larger capacity. And of course, with an adjusted american look goes higher bars. This model continued till 1970. In 1970 a model with a battery and a ignition lock was manufactured. The battery was fabricated on an open carrier on the right side and the ignition lock on the left. Also foot gear-change instead hand change was installed. This model was given the name "Leggero". The production of this model continued till 1971.
