The collaboration between Aermacchi and Harley-Davidson develops a view in 1961. The first machines with both names on the fuel tank appear in Europe and in the United States the selection is completed with the models fabricated in Italy. To emphasize the relationship with Harley-Davidson, a new model Aermacchi 250cc appears: the Wisconsin; a clear link to the state in which the Motor Company is situated. De base is in fact an existing model: de Azurra. The bars are higher, de painting of the fuel tank is different en the brake-drums are 180mm instead of 160mm. The engine-specifications from the Ala Verde are used as from 1963.
The first Wisconsin is baptized in the United States as Sprint (type C). In 1962 came the Wisconsin 250H/Sprint.
The production of the Wisconsin continued until 1967, the Sprint C Model until 1966, the Sprint H Model until 1968. In 1967 a new Sprint SS was marketed. The Wisconsin Model was issued in Italy as a police bike, the regular model only with a saddle and luggage rack. Colours: Cosmo-blue and black.
