According to a commercial advertisement: "SST-125: at home on the road, this machine has the features that motorcyclists worldwide demand: five-speed gearbox, alternator electrics, front hydraulic disc brake, automatic oil injection, handlebar shape for ultimate control, superb handling and the greatest looks."
This new model is based on the SS 125, but not just the name changed; the front brake is new and also the dual seat changed. Other than that: a regular SS 125. The compression ratio was reduced from 10.8 : 1 to 10.7 : 1
The SST was not available in the Netherlands, but the SS 125 was available until 1978 in the Netherlands.
