Aermacchi SX-175 1976-1978

Aermacchi's 175cc two-stroke oil-injected single, coupled to a wide-ratio, five-speed transmission, powered Harley-Davidson's 1976 Model SX-175. These engines had chrome-bore aluminum cylinders, capacitive-discharge ignition systems (CDI), and rubber noise dampers on the cylinder fins. These dual-purpose machines came equipped with cross-braced handle-bars, speedometers, tachometers, International Six Day Trials (ISDT) quick-change rear hubs, serrated metal foot pegs, high front guards, upswept exhaust with heat shields, five-position rear shock absorbers, and directional indicator lights. Former Motor Company president John A. Davidson rode and enjoyed this motorcycle and donated one to the Harley-Davidson Archives. Davidson's grandfather was company co-founder William A. Davidson.

When this model was introduced in the Netherlands you would pay f 2.995,- and in 1975 you'd pay f 3.495,-. It was produced until 1978 (7,224 models).
