Aermacchi HD 1961 Model C Sprint 250cc

The 1961 Model C Sprint was the first product imported under marketing, manufacturing, and distribution agreements between Harley-Davidson and Aermacchi. A horizontal 250cc (15-cubic-inch) four-stroke single-cylinder engine powered this lightweight. The pushrod-actuated engine featured an aluminium-alloy cylinder head and piston, had a 9:1 compression ratop, and developed 18 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. The Sprint delivered 70 miles per gallon and came equipped with a 4-gallon fuel tank. The transmission was a four-speed, and the transmission case used a left-side kick starter. The sidestand was on the right side.
