In 1968 BSA announced many changes to its product line range and added the new three cylinder Rocket III for the 1969 range.
The A75 Rocket Three differed from its sibling, the Trident, in a number of areas, the most obvious being the inclined cylinders.
From 1971 the new machines were built at the Triumph works in Meriden, with production of components and engines produced at BSA the Small Heath works.
In 1973, the last year of production, the range consisted of just four models: the Gold Star 500, the 650cc Thunderbolt and Lightning twins, and the 750cc Rocket Three.
