Aspes of the 1970's and 80's had Minarelli, Maico, Sachs and their own Aspes engines.
The first 125 Aspes MX bike was the Apache with a Maico engine, followed, in 1972, by the Hopi 125 MX. Shortly thereafter they began developing their own engines and using these Felice Agostini won the 125 class in the 1973 Italian Motocross Championship.
