Aermacchi R/C 125

The old R/C 125 was a smooth, nicely styled bike. Unfortunately that style had to move over for the AMF vision. Below you find pictures of a "old" R/C 125 and a new R/C 125. Judge for yourself and find the differences. The picture of the newer model does not represent the original paint though - the new paint was green with horizontal lines across the fuel tank. Fuel tank and pillion seat were replaced and an incredible chain-protector was installed, a sort of half-moon. And that was all apparently to make it look like a " Great American Freedom Machine".
In 1974 a modified model was marketed, the exhaust pipe underneath on the right side (on the left and above in 1973)(see pictures).. According to the A.R.S.I.M.A some 998 models were produced, but sources in the Harley world speak of 4,500! Strange!
