My Dad purchased a NSU 250 MAX Special new in 1954. It was Blue and it had a red seat as I recall. Sure was a fast bike at that time. 18.5 hp out of 15 cubic inches. I traded it for an 500cc Ariel H.S. scrambler. I think I still have some old Cycle Mag. when NSU set some world speed records. They sure were ahead of their time. It was purchased at Brown's Frame and Fork Shop in so Ca.

I had a friend who bought one new in about 1957 at a dealer in Jax.,FL. The dealer was located on New Beach Blvd. I believe the name was Barney's I don't remember the model, but it seems like it was a dark green & black. It was very nice and trouble free.

HI, I tried to get a hold of you last week, we have a '54 NSU, runs and has a bit of rust. Far as we can tell it's only missing a few parts. We'd like to sell it but have no idea of it's value. We'd also like to list it on your 'for sale' page and need to know how to go about it. You can call us at 503-803-8184, or 503-786-8891 (home). Thanks for your help with this, Scott and Teri Zumbusch

IN the Feb. 03 issue of Classic Motor cycle a Mr. Bill Humpbries had a restored 60 NSU Max------But he was unable to sourse a Air horn from the carb to the air cleaner. I have tried to contact him thru the magazine but haven`t heard from him. I believe I have what he needs along with a few other NOS parts. Having rebuilt my 1957 Velocette Endurance and knowing the look for parts and interest in any sourse of parts I was hoping to be able to comtact Mr. Humpbries. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jack

I had visit all the NSU sites and I didn't find owners of Quicklys 50 cc. Since my 1957 - the last made in Germany - Quickly is still running and in show condition (with 6542 kms in the speedometer) I would be most grateful if someone say " Hi, I also have one of those sweet, cute and mild toys!". Best regards.

My first bike was a 1964 model Supermax. I didn't realize what a great bike it was until many years after I sold it. As a teen I really beat and abused the old girl and she never missed a beat, nor let me down. Its' lines are timeless. Yesterday I found a Brit bike rag with the the story and photos of a 62 Supermax inside. It really did bring a tear to my eye !

Hi I have a 1953 NSU Fox and I've been trying to find out an estimated value for the bike. It runs but needs much restoration. I'm looking to sell the bike but don't know where to start. Any further information you lend would be greatly appreciated. S. Zumbusch USA
