Manufacturer: Carl Metzger Motorradbau, Munich
1921-1924
These machines were assembled in small quantities using DKW two-stroke engines. Initially sold under the DKW brand, the CM name was introduced in late 1921.
In 1924 their machines were offered under the brand name CM-Weps or Wepsrad.
The motor bicycles were used in competition, and appeared in the results sometimes as "Metzger-DKW".
It was an extremely difficult period for the German motorcycle industry due to the advent of hyperinflation.
An image titled "Damenrad ähnlicher Spezialrahmen mit 1 PS DKW 2 Takt-Motor" has been displayed at motor-hist-foto.de
There is also an Italian CM marque, unrelated.
