A Brief History of the Marque

Manufacturer:
Mandille et Roux (M-R)
1924-1954
 7-9 rue Duris
Paris (20)

The firm built BMA motorcycles powered by Aubier-Dunne, Train and Sachs prior to WWII. Post-war, VAP and Ydral (aka Lardy) engines were employed.

The factory had some racing success in endurance events. Mandille et Roux won their class at the Bol d'Or in 1934 and 1935 using a machine powered by a 98cc Sachs. (One source says they won the class 1934-1938.)

The manufacturers Mandille and Roux are exhibiting two particularly well-designed moped models with very modern equipment:

The Y.4 model is a 125cc, equipped with the famous Lardy 2-stroke engine and 4-speed foot shift. It's a moped designed for long-distance touring, with its 12-litre tank, comfortable seat, reinforced semi-cradle frame, and 25 x 3 tyres.

The more rugged ADK.3 model features a popular Aubier-Dunne engine. It's a 100cc, 3-speed unit with hand shift, in a semi-cradle frame, and 600 x 65 tyres. Both models are well-finished and presented in excellent condition.

It's worth noting that M.R., in the small displacement category, can be considered to have achieved the most impressive sporting record.
