Gilera GSM 50 2000

The GSM - Gilera Super Motard - is specifically designed for the "technologically-minded" customer.

With the mechanical elements of an endurance bike and typical on-road covers, the GSM is at home on any terrain. And with its short frame, the GSM also tops its class for easy smooth handling and agility in urban areas.

Aesthetically, the "supermotard" character of this 50 cc Gilera motorcycle - available in metallic grey with a red and black saddle - is immediately evident from its large, elegant brushed aluminium wheel rims, tyres typical of fast road bikes, seat height and suspension stroke.

Driven by a powerful Gilera 50 cc engine with a six-speed gearbox, electric start and automatic oil-fuel mixer, the GSM is a light, easy to drive motorcycle, capable of exciting pick-up and acceleration.

Sturdiness and road grip are guaranteed by the split single-cradle frame and oversized suspensions: dual rate upside-down front fork (stroke 200 mm) and single oil dynamic gas damper at the rear (stroke 450 mm).

The tyres are generously sized; 100/80-17 at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear. The GSM's twin disk braking system is equally impressive - a 220-mm disk at the front and a 185-mm disk at the rear - while the high level of active safety is further promoted by the powerful headlamp with its 35+35 Watt halogen light.
