JLO is a German engine manufacturer now owned by North American Rockwell
Co.
Also written as ILO, this engine is used by many marques including
Bastert,
Batavus,
Bauer,
Bismarck,
DMF,
Express,
Gazelle,
Glas
Goggo,
Goricke,
Hercules,
Hoffmann,
Lion-Rapide,
Monark,
Panther
(DE), Rabeneick, Rixe,
Santamaria,
Sparta,
Tempo,
Tornax,
U
T & Universal.
Swedish Maraton mopeds were fitted with JLO.
Many snowmobiles including Arctic Cat & Polaris used ILO engines,
as did go-karts including the 1960 Trokart. Outboard manufacturers employing
JLO included Warrenjet.
German manufacturers which have used the JLO 175 engine: Bauer,
Hecker,
Hercules,
Hoffmann,
U
T, Rabeneick,
Rixe
and Tornax.

Ale Teile sind original unde es is fahrbereit. Ich wolte fragen ob ich
eventuel einen neueres model bekomen könnte weil er über 35 Jahre
alt ist?

1969/70 L340JLO single cylinder L340JLO
Can some one tell me what spark plug to use for a 1969/70 L340JLO single
cylinder engine. It had an old Champion K8 that fit the threads but
would not go down far enough to seat on the top of the head. Same
for a new champion D9. HELP!

hovervraft engine
Rockwell jlo l295l
I have bought a hoverover hovercraft which has 3 rockwell engines.
The main one is a JLO L295L which is the one I have questions about. The
engine was in pieces when i got it. I have bought a new piston and conrod
but the gudgeon pin is too small for the conrod. Is there meant to be a
roller bearing on the small end of the conrod??
Also, what petrol mix are these engines supposed to run on?

Bad running/won't run
JLO Outboard Motor 76cc (Amal carb).
This motor is giving a lot of trouble. I cleaned the carb and
added new fuel. There is a good spark and the motor did run once
for about 30 seconds then failed. Cleaned the carb again but still no go.
I think I will have to dismantle it to check piston rings and crankcase
seals. Can you advise what the compression pressure should be? Best

I have a 200cc JLO engine, given to me in the early 70's. No one in
the UK has ever heard of JLO. Does anyone know what this engine came out
of? as I would love to do somthing with it.
