In April 2016 lifelong motorcycle enthusiasts Alban and Attila Scheiber opened the spectacularly located museum on Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road in the European Alps.

Godfather to the museum is one of the greatest riders of all time, Giacomo Agostini.

Tragedy struck on the 18th of January 2021 when fire destroyed the museum and its contents.

Over 250 motorcycles were displayed, including a special exhibition of some fifty machines on loan from the Hockenheim Museum.

All but a handful were completely destroyed.

In late November 2021 the museum re-opened.
