Reliant Robin BN

Under licence to Reliant Cars Ltd the new version of the Robin, the BN-1, was produced by B&N Plastics of Suffolk beginning in April 2001.

Improvements on the original included an 850cc engine and a revamped gearbox and drive train. Officially released in July, the BN-1 was joined by the BN-2 which retained the fibreglass body and was finished in re-active paint which changed colour in different lighting situations. It was fitted with electric windows and a CD player.

A small batch of the BN series was sent to Reliant dealers in January 2002. Later that year an electric version was announced, but problems arose and Reliant BN production ceased in October.
