AV17 (1958) "MOBYMATIC-STANDARD"

Presented at the 1958 show, the AV17 was never produced.

AV49 - Same features as the AV46, but comes with the "MOBYMATIC" gear change.

  AV56 - Same characteristics as the AV46, but 2.25x18 tyres and rear suspension by swing arm.

Manufactured in 201 units based on a bicycle frame, this model uses the engine, transmission and wheels of the AV42.

SP93 (1969) SP93D-SP93DL (1970)

D55TT79 - orange color.


Cady M1 (1965) Cady M3 (1974)

Monocoque chassis (forming a 2.8-litre tank) - stamped sheet metal fork and rear stays - Isodyne engine with cantilevered crankshaft - 2.00x19 tyres - front rim brake, rear 70mm drum brake - 27 kilos, 30 km/h.

The M3 version adopts 2.00x16 tyres and the crankshaft receives a second main bearing to reduce stress. The engine being much more reliable, it will also be used in the M1.

PR small wheels (16"), T telescopic fork (and 70mm drum), S rear suspension, G separate lubrication, P folding.

Mobyx X1 (1971-1974) X7 (1973-1976)

X1L - with turn signals and brake light.

X7S - without variator, without rear suspension X7L - without variator, without rear suspension, but equipped with turn signals and brake light X7AL - without variator, turn signals, brake light, front and rear suspension X7VL - variator, turn signals and brake light, without rear suspension X7AVL - variator, turn signals, brake light, front and rear suspension.


40 (1970-1979) 50 (1970-1979)

Monocoque chassis (forming a 3-litre 650 tank) - telescopic fork - monobloc front and rear hub brakes - 2x17 (40) 2.25x17 (50) tyres - swinging saddle with central spring - AV7 engine with automatic spring belt tension - 40 series, without rear suspension - 50 series, with rear suspension - colour grey (40) - orange or yellow (50).

Variants: T for telescopic fork (the 40 had a "bicycle" fork and the 40 T a telescopic fork) - V for "MOBYMATIC" variator - L for luxury (tank trim - chrome front fender - Noviphone horn) - C for turn signals and brake light. There were also S models for standard (no option).

Evolution: 40 - N40 - G40 - H40 - 50 - N50 - G50 - H50.


41 (1978) 51 (1978)

Evolution of the 40 and 50 series - AV10 engine with intake by reed valves in the engine casing.

Various versions were derived, such as the 51 Super, 51CF (French Champion), West and New West (Chopper), Magnum, Magnum Racing…

This range was taken over by MBK when they acquired Motobécane in 1984.

Montgomery Wards in the United States rebadged Mobylette AV43, AV78 and AV88 models as the Wards Riverside.
