Hunter Piccaninny Motorcycles

Ron Hunter of Victoria built a 125cc roadracer. An image in a 1952 copy of The Motor Cycle is captioned:
"The late Ron Hunter Of Victoria. One of Australia's most outstandtng motorcycle personalities, prominent as both a clubman and a clever rider-tuner."

He and brother Murray had a workshop in Oakleigh where they built the Hunter front and rear brakes along with other components specifically for motorcycle sport.

A 125cc DOHC single named the Hunter Piccaninny had been under development, and was completed after Ron's death. It took third place at the 125 TT at Bathurst in 1957, and won the Victorian GP at Phillip Island in 1959.
