Scamp was a moped produced on the Isle of Wight in 1968.
This was a neat little machine, designed and built to be light - both in weight and on the pocket. It had a 50cc engine attached to the left side of the rear wheel, which it drove via a centrifugal clutch and gear pair. It had 12-inch diameter wheels with a drum brake on the front and a bicycle caliper on the rear. The frame was tubular with no suspension, and it was fitted with head and rear lights.
Although it was cheap to buy it was not very popular and was soon gone.
