Kelecom

Kelecom were a Belgium manufacturer of engines in the 1900s

Paul Kelecom was the FN engine designer.

Paul Kelecom had been designing single-cylinder motorcycle engines for several years which were used under license by many early motorcycle manufacturers including Triumph, Veloce and FN, who he began working with in 1903. At FN he worked initially on their existing sidevalve singles and in 1904 produced the first of their four-cylinder engines.

The first real test the FN Four was a doozy - a tour of Europe via France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and back through the Netherlands to Belgium. Not many autobahn in those days. In 1905 it was displayed at the Paris Cycle Show where it caused a sensation. Sources: Grace's Guide
