message: what do you know about Advance motorcycles?

According to Tragatsch, an English make produced from 1906 to 1912 using their own single cylinder and V-twin engines. The machines were distinguished in having very low-slung frames compared to their contemporaries. Henshaw says the same. Ed.

Nick Harrison's site about the Oakington Monoplane, powered by an Advance V4 engine, has some interesting information on the Northampton based marque. Apparently the company still exists as part of the Unipart Group.
