Martin motorcycles were built by Victor Martin of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, from 1932 to 1939.
1933 After some changes, the Wallis became the Comerford Special.
This later became the Martin-Comerford, while the original with the Rudge-type frame became the Martin-Rudge. Both were still fitted with the JAP engine.
According to bahnsporttechnik.de, Victor Martin machines were also sold in Germany; by Erich Bertram in Berlin, in Stuttgart by Wilhelm Hermann and in Burghausen by Rudi Münzloher. In Sweden they were sold by Hans Engborg & Co of Malilla, where speedway remains popular to this day.
