Manufactured 1954-1955 by Lefol & Cie, Courbevoie, Seine. Jacques Lefol produced car and bicycle accessories from the 1930s.
The Scoot-Air appeared at the Salon of 1954 powered by a two-speed 98cc Comet engine. Constructed using an aluminium chassis and weighing a mere 55kg, it could be folded for storage in four minutes. Some 40 examples were built.
Lefol also marketed the Aero-Scoot, a very similar machine propelled by a 98cc Sachs engine presented at the 1953 Salon. The Aero-scoot could be either folded, or dismantled into several sections for more compact storage. Both versions were advertised as suitable for carriage in the trunk of an automobile, or, for the more well-to-do, aboard a yacht or in a light aeroplane.
