Founded by Bernard Hèchard in 1982, the works are located at 4 rue de l'Artisanat, ZA des Moinards, 86 130 Saint-Georges-Les-Baillargeaux (North of Poitiers).
Cédric Fabien became the manager of the company in 2007. He had worked with Bernard for many years.
Hechard offers a range of quality sidecars. Models over the years include STD (1983), Le Petit modèle (1985), Le Mercure (1989), Le Squale (1990) and Le Sonic (1993).
They produce lightweight, convertible and sedan models, along with two-seaters in both tandem and wide-body format.
Accessories include a leading-link front forks, panniers and top box, fairings, roll bars and crash bars, and an alloy sidecar wheel with hydraulic disc brake.
