Denny Barber, a successful grass-track rider, began producing motorcycles that carried his name in 1966, most of which were built to customer specifications. Based in Attleborough, about 15 miles from Norwich, he also produced replicas of the Rotrax speedway rolling chassis ready to take the customer's engine. The headstock bearings of the frames were needle-rollers, a considerable improvement on the original. Barber continued to build motorcycle well into the 1980s.
