Barber Motorcycles

Denny Barber, a successful grass-track rider, began producing motorcycles that carried his name in 1966, most of which were built to customer specifications. Based in Attleborough, about 15 miles from Norwich, he also produced replicas of the Rotrax speedway rolling chassis ready to take the customer's engine. The headstock bearings of the frames were needle-rollers, a considerable improvement on the original. Barber continued to build motorcycle well into the 1980s.

Grass-track racing laurels include:

    European Championship: Finalist 1978, Semi-final 1979. British Championship 500cc: Third 1968, 1975, 1977
    British Championship 350cc: Third 1977
    British Championship 250cc: Second 1971, Third 1973.
British Best Pairs 500cc: Second 1977, Third 1978
    Eastern Centre Championship: First 500cc 1970, 1976, 250cc 1968
Dennis Frederick Barber died on Sunday, October 13th, 2019, aged 76 years.
