Gus Kuhn died aged 67.
He competed in road racing, scrambles, observed trials, hill climbs, rodeo riding, sprint riding, speedway, ISDT and even the Wall of Death. He rode speedway with Stamford Bridge, the Wimbledon Dons, the Wembley Lions and the Lea Bridge team, some of which he captained. He founded Gus Kuhn Motors in London in 1932.

Dick Smith and Hans Tholstrup jumped a double-decker bus over 13 motorcycles at Sydney Showgrounds. Dick flew a helicopter around the world, and Hans was famed for his aquatic adventures. The motorcycles were supplied by Sydney Motorcycle Wreckers of Wentworth Ave.
