Mark Gruber wins the inaugural Dairyland Classic at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds oval on a Rotax 500cc.
Between 1985 and 2012 Rotax-powered machines won 16 of the Dairyland Classics. In 2008, Rotax began manufacturing the 1,125cc Helicon liquid-cooled, four-stroke, fuel-injected 72° V-twin for Buell.

Bruce Anstey of Wellington, New Zealand wins the Isle of Man Superbike TT. The following day he took 2nd place.
At the age of 50, he won the 2019 IOM 250 Classic TT bringing his total to ten IOM victories.
He also won both the North West 200 and the Ulster Grand Prix ten times.
In 2015 the Queen awarded him an MNZM for services to motorsport.
