Karl Rapp and and Julius Auspitzer founded Rapp Motorenwerke GmbH on the site of Flugwerke Deutschland. He later renamed it to Bayerische Motoren Werke AG. BMW.

Helmut Krackowizer born Frankenmarkt, Austria. He became a motorcycle racer, historian, journalist and authored two books on the subject. He wrote in English and German.
Prof. Dr. Dkfm. Helmut "Mr. Rudge" Krackowizer rode daily until the day he died on October 22, 2001.
