Moto-Meriden

Moto-Meriden were motorcycles produced from 1976 to 1977.

When the going got tough for Triumph at Meriden, the workforce had to attempt virtually anything to bring in money. One such venture was the assembly of Moto Guzzi machines with a 121cc two-stroke engine and five speeds. It was marketed as the Co-Uno, but sales were poor due to bad quaity-control and unreliable electrics. Although it was a nippy performer and fairly priced, it soon disappeared.
