Craig Motorcycles and Three-wheelers

Craig was a motorcycle built in 1896 in Putney, London.

The machine had a 1hp engine and water-cooled cylinder head, aiv and massive flywheel. The engine drove the rear wheel by chain with the cycle-frame tubes acting as the radiator. The machine appeared to be tall because it had smaller than usual wheels. In November of that year, on Emancipation Day, Mr. Craig rode his machine on the road, prior to selling it.

A Craig three-wheeler appeared in 1912.
