YMC Motorcycles of Greece

logo

YMC (the initials of the Yiannoulas Motor Company, not to be confused with those sometimes used for Yamaha, was a Greek brand of vehicle, part of the Athens-based Yiannoulas Group. The marque existed from 2001 to 2011, when the venture was terminated due to the economic crisis in Greece.

Unlike earlier Greek motorcycle companies, YMC was not a manufacturer in the usual sense. It assembled a variety of motor scooters, motorcycles, ATVs and buggies from components made mostly in China or Taiwan to, frequently, YMC design. Production costs in Greece were considered too high, and only specific parts for some models were actually made in Greece.
