A Brief History of the Italian Marque

The Maxima National Motorcycle Factory began in Voghera at the end of the Great War, based on the remnants of the Officine Meccaniche Carminati. Count Faustino Odetti is associated with the venture.

In September 1920 the Maxima, with a horizontally-opposed twin engine layout very similar to that of the Douglas is released.

The first Maxima engine had was of 690cc, and in 1921 a 750cc version was introduced.

The brothers Gino and Aldo Finzi (see Finzi) began production of the Finzi motorcycle.

The Maxima marque ceased production in 1925.
