A Brief History of the Marque

Manufacturer:
Mandille et Roux (M-R)

The firm built BMA motorcycles powered by Aubier-Dunne, Train and Sachs prior to WWII. Post-war, VAP and Ydral (aka Lardy) engines were employed.

The factory had some racing success in endurance events. Mandille et Roux won their class at the Bol d'Or in 1934 and 1935 using a machine powered by a 98cc Sachs. (One source says they won the class 1934-1938)

Models:

1938 Type D1 98cc Sachs BMA
1938 Type D2 (as above, sans kick starter)
Type D2 Childs bike - Pierre et Jean Monneret rode these; also available as sidecar outfits.
1952 Type D1 98cc Sachs 2 speed BMA
1953 Type S4 125cc Sachs, plunger rear, telescopic front.
