Autinag Motorcycles

A Brief History of the German Marque

Manufacturer: Auto Industrie AG, Dusseldorf-Moersenbroich

Constructed between 1924 and 1925, the Dusseldorf factory built mostly lightweight two-strokes of 125 to 200cc, but also built a 496cc MAG-engined motorcycle. One model is described thus: 2 1/2 hp 2-stroke engine with 3 speed gearbox, kickstarter, clutch - it had belt drive.

The onset of hyperinflation forced the company's closure.

The Dümo was a sporting variation built by the same firm.
