Arbos Mopeds

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

Information about this marque, besides the certainty of its existence, is very scarce.

Based in Milan, in the early fifties Arbos produced mopeds in workshops in Piacenza, 70km to the south-east.

Arbos produced bicycles shortly after the war. A bicycle history page says the name is derived from "Piacentini Araldi and Boselli".

The name Arbos is associated with SAFI of Piacenza, which manufactured Arbi-Bubba tractors. In 1976 the workers bought the company after it failed. Arbos is now owned by the Chinese.
