Abendsonne Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Marque

Georg Weißbinder (or Weissbinder) built these unusual machines at Arheilger Strasse 92 Darmstadt in the years 1933 and 1934, employing a pair of 98cc Villiers engines coupled together to produce a 196cc twin. Around 20 machines were built before production ceased, most likely due to the Nazi ban on the importation of English components.

They were licence and tax free, priced at 790 Reichsmark
