Helmut Krackowizer born Frankenmarkt, Austria. He became a motorcycle racer, historian, journalist and authored two books on the subject. He wrote in English and German.
Prof. Dr. Dkfm. Helmut "Mr. Rudge" Krackowizer rode daily until the day he died on October 22, 2001.
Erle Armstrong dies aged 89, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Erle worked with Indian for most of the 50 years the company existed. He was also a racer, a rider, a dealer and a stunt rider.
