Gulf War 1991

Made in East Germany and bought by the Iraqui Army as a reconnaissance vehicle for the 8th Anti-Armoured Regiment.
It was adapted for desert warfare in Bagdad (note chain housing) and saw action against the Allied forces which led to its capture on the Basra Road.

It was restored in Germany by Captain Brian Cox whilst on detachment with the British Forces during the Gulf War. This is the only motorcycle and sidecar to have been brought back by Allied Forces from the Gulf War and in full working rder.
