Sanglas 400 Military

I have just started the complete restoration of a Sanglas 400, these bikes were brought into Ireland for the army in the early 70's. Trouble is I need new gaskets, seals etc so if there's anyone out there who knows where restoration parts can be had (or can translate the spanish web sites), please please drop me a line. -- Yours, -- James, Dublin -- jcegan

Sanglas 400 Irish Army

I've a number of derelict Sanglas 400s (ex-Irish Army). What a wonderful bike. 160km on 4.5 liters of fuel! I've also an original parts manual, wiring diagram, and other bits and pieces. I got them from Lindseys of Ship Street, they were the importers. I've a new con-rod and bearing assembly, new mudguards (black), a new military fairing (black) and original bar-end mirrors (minus glass). I've also new cables, oil hoses, gaskets, chrome work and a few other bits.

However, I am happier to allow copies of these to be made, if necessary, as I may need them sometime. I want to get my own bikes on the road again, or buy a running one and use mine for parts.

What about an Irish Sanglas Owners Club, if there isn't one already?
