Hi, just bought an early 90's maico

I've just bought a maico 500 liquid cooled, believed to be 91/92, I don't know much about these and would appreciate any info about common problems, and things to check for, it's not running right at the moment as it was standing for a long while, I've had it running but it's still won't start very easily, what's the recommended 2 stroke mix for these as it seems to be gumming the plug, any advice or comments appreciated thanks

just got my 76 250 aw running getting the starting correct sound like a tunung issue. what is the carb . the first time i started mine ran 32:1 ratio. alot of oil but it hasn't fouled plug. also don't have a good idle yet , will put a chain on it and run it a little first.
