A Brief History of the Marque
In 1931 the Great Depression took great toll of the British motorcycle firms, AJS among them. In October 1931 AJS closed its doors, and the company lost almost all their assets in the process. Undaunted, the Stevens brothers began anew with a new company in May of 1932, Stevens Brothers (Wolverhampton) Limited.
