Brief History of the Marque: De Luxe
Made in England c1912 to c1924
Prior to the Great War A. E. Bradford, a schoolteacher of Wolverhampton,
built a small number of motorcycles. After WWI he began assembling his
"De Luxe" machines from components sourced from other manufacturers. Power
units included 269cc Villiers and 346cc Barr
& Stroud sleeve valve engines.
There is also an American De Luxe engine built by F.W. Spacke Machine
Co. of Indiana, produced around the same period.
