The Datzmann Speedway Bikes

A very modern looking piece of machinery kindly sent in by Bennie Ludolphy. The frame hails from Germany and built in 1984 by Michael Datzmann Senior for his son Michael Datzmann Junior.
Datzmann Senior had been European 500cc Grasstrack Sidecar Champion many times, so was certainly well experienced in the field.

The Speedway machine is seen here housing a horizontal G.M. Motor with leading link front fork and a very modern designed type of Frame. Note the large top tube which also acts as a fuel tank.

The picture above is of the Datzmann Longtrack machine that had been inspired by the speedway machine. Again housing a G.M. engine, this machine also boasts a monoshock rear suspension.
